I had the best xmas this year. We had "Secret" Santa at Tony's on xmas eve. My housemates and I had a great time and a good laugh that night. The warm welcome and the delish food made us feel more comfortable with the rest of the bruneians. The girls even looked pretty in their new outfit, new haircut/do and make up. Actually, they are fun girls and i do like them...:)

Then xmas dinner at my house on the 25th. It was the best indeed. Kate and I put alot of effort to make sure that it would be a memorable one. We didn't expect guests at first but then we thought it would be nice if we would share our dinner with some friends. So we invited Myla and Maj and we ended up going to bed at 4am. What did we do? Haha. We had a long dinner conference where we talked about politics, religions and health issues to mention some. And we are just what? 19? 21? Interesting huh..

So, how was ur xmas? I hope u had a great time too. What else can be better than spending time with your family and friends during xmas? I missed celebrating xmas with my parents but after the dinner with my housemates, it felt alot like home .

Had a list of new resolutions written in by book. This time I am trying to be more realistic than last year. Honestly, I wanted changes so dramatically and trust me, if you are going to do the same, u will never accomplish any of them. So, next year, I will take things slowly and steadily. And I am sure I will see the changes and improvements by the end of the year.

That's it. I am trying to be less needy/demanding in my list this year. I think I have learned some lessons the hard way in the past. And now I think the best things come when you least expect it:)

To 2007,

You have not disappoint me that much but you're not that kind to me either. I have learned alot from my mistakes and all this year, u taught me lessons i never expected to learn and you threw me sights i couldn't have visualised. Sometimes I couldn't tolerate on you at all and that's when I wanted a better new year. But now, I'm so sad that u are leaving me in just a couple of days.. I know there will be more unexpected things to come which could be better or even worse. But somehow, I am ready to ride the turbulent waves coz u have made me a survivor. Thank you 2007. And now i welcome 2008, and will make sure that we will go along on the right wavelength.

I will miss you 2007. Like really.

Oh, what a speech. But 2007 is somehow one of the best year, despite the hard times that i've been through.

I thought a last minute shopping is a NO NO NO.. You will end up buying NOTHING or maybe something useless. But Cat proved me wrong today. She bought all Christmas gifts in less than a day.

First we went to Digbeth. WOW! i never knew Digbeth is just VERY close to Bullring. It's like from my house to One Stop. It's a walking distance really. Ok, we went there to get her mother a necklace from a shop called The Irish Club. Oh, did i tell u Cat is originally from Ireland? But she was brought up in Birmingham. That's why her eyes are green and not blue...Interesting huh. So, back to the story... The Irish shop is emm..vintage. It's not that impressive but if ure looking for something not-over-the-budget classic and vintage things I would recommend u to go there. But the necklace that she bought for her mother is one word- Beautiful...

After that we went to the Sunday market (this is also in Digbeth). It's like the 'expo' in Brunei. Ok, not really. This is more like a garage sale pulang coz they sell second hand stuffs. Expo brunei mana ada second hand kan. But it looks like expo Brunei. And there was this man, who caught my eyes..really, his voice is awww...i like! Ok, hear this...

Oh yea!! Do u know that the English have their own 'Kek Batik'. I'm serious. But of course it is not called kek batik (Duh!). They call it 'Chocolate Juliet'. N its very chocolaty. Well, I didn't taste it coz I didn't know the ingredients. But Cat did and she compared it with Brunei's Kek Batik. She said the chocolate Juliet has more chocolate.. dark chocolate.. Sounds delish innit?  Drools~ Can someone from Brunei send me Kek Batik? hehe...

Then, we went to em..some more shops. I really don't know the names but em..it's good. Cat got Kate a necklace too. A gold one. And its LAWA! I really want it but then i thought that Kate will like it more than I do. So, convinced Cat to get it for her. And she did. So, sorted out two things already. Mother and Kate. Yay!

I looked at these scarfs. LAWA!! But i didn't know that Cat was gonna pay for them coz she said, it would be easier that way since she didn't know what to get me for xmas. I was holding 2 scarfs coz i like both and i felt bad coz she had to pay for both. It makes me feel greedy really.. But anyway, thank you Cat.
 
Ok, 3 down and MANY more to go. And it's already 2pm.. We had to be really quick coz the shops closed at 5pm on Sundays. Went straight to Baileys to get recharged coz trust me, shopping makes u feel hungry all the time! Believe it or not. I NEVER makan di Baileys. Everytime masuk sana, will cancel and go to other places. Okay, i lied. I tried my friend's french fries though.. Emm...not bad. So..  we went to this place - 'Kadai Ali' Hehe.. Coz he introduced me to Urban Fitters. Had a burger meal there and went to H&M tarus.

At H&M, we got a scarf for Alex, socks for her father and a hat for her brother. Oh, and a necklace for her colleague. Amazing huh. I could never do that. Never. But Cat is like dui~ sanang.. hehe.. Then off to the Works. No. Not the club. The bookshop. Got some books for Emma and Sharon and the sister. See, sekajap ani wah.. Then FINALLY. For her bestfriend. That was abit hard coz the shops were starting to close already. We went to the Mailbox and got nothing. Ugh! What a waste of time. Coz really, they were all kan tutup. So we went back to Debenhams and finally got something for her bestfriend. Britney's Perfume. Ok, that has nothing to do with me really. Everyone knows that I love Britney, but she chose that fragrance herself for her bestfriend. Well, i told her: PERFECT choice :D

It's 5.10pm. Hooray!!! Everything was all done!!! Everyone got their presents. And yes, it's time for a hot drink.  Starbucks closed at half 5. So we rushed there and got ourselves hot Cappuccinos and em.. i bought this cake. Oh my!! It's just what you want after a looong cold day. It's the greatest O y'all... hehe..

Got home around 6ish. And taddaaa...... CHRISTMASS TREE!!! Life just gets better and better every second innit? It felt like home banar! Kate and Alex had decorated it with their brilliant and creative imagination. I lloooove it. Simple but.. oh, i don't know how to put that in words. But it's wonderful.  Thanks housemates! I really appreciate it more than i could say.. XXX

So, everyone.. Make the most out of tomorrow alright. N yes, try the last minute shopping.. It's fun. It is possible. Take someone with u and enjoy the day and then have a merry merry xmas eve's dinner with ur family and friends... Don't forget to make ur xmas wish before u sleep..

Phew! I had a whole day outing with mates yesterday. Went to Aylesbury Young Offenders' institute in the morning and dropped by at Bicester Village before going back to Birmingham. It was freaking AWESOME! -enough said.

Spent a lil too much on few bags. The Dior purse is a real bargain. It was half of the retail price.. Grabbed it! hehehe <-- evil laugh.  Was tempted to get the shades as well but I wont be able to use it till summer next year.. So, nah...didn't get shades. Bought mom some Ferregamo tudong *believe it or not, buying tudong is alot harder and time consuming than buying bags* Mama, do u know i had a looong time choosing the right tudongs? Tough work tu ma~ But all i get is just THAT? -read further down.

Made arrangements with Aunt Audrey regarding my kirim. And yes, mama just sent me her Speedy. She said it's a christmas gift for me. Yea right.. A second hand bag. eeee....Ma! I've been a good girl lately and all i get is ur speedy? *sigh* But anyhow, at least I have something new (not BRAND NEW though) to wear for christmas:)

Talking about Speedy bags.. LV successfully sued Britney Spears for violating counterfeiting laws. ( Well, Britney Spears herself was not found guilty, but a civil court in Paris has ordered Sony BMG and MTV Online to stop showing the video. SonyBMG and MTV Online were ordered to pay $117,600 each for "damaging" the brand's image, and are expected to pay $1470 for every day the video remains on the internet. OUCH!!!

Im sure u know what video clip im talking here...Remember the PINK hummer?:) With a counterfeit Vuitton cherry blossom monogram print dashboard? It was one of my fav video clip way back in 2005. So here... "Do something"!!!!
